Throughout the year, Parent and Family Programs hosts events that connect families and supporters to the Cal Poly community. Mark your calendars and join us on the following dates!
Parents and supporters of new Cal Poly students are encouraged to attend SLO Days 2022. Special supporter sessions provide wonderful ways to meet fellow incoming families, learn more about the university, and receive guidance on the best ways to support new Mustangs.

Parent and Supporter Welcome | Date/Time TBD
Cal Poly parents and supporters are invited to gather after move-in to hear from campus leadership, faculty, and staff as we kick off the 2022-23 academic year. This event will feature a student musical performance, welcome messages, light refreshments, and resources about how to stay connected, involved, and informed.

Mustang Family Weekend

At Mustang Family Weekend, you and your family will:

PolyCultural Weekend connects prospective students with the cultural community on campus. This experience helps students establish a sense of community, cultivate a feeling of belonging, and gain the confidence to succeed at Cal Poly. Visit the PolyCultural Weekend website to learn more.
Spotlight Event: Parent and Supporter Breakfast

Open House is an annual event that showcases Cal Poly's campus to new students and their supporters while offering a glimpse into life as a Mustang. Resource Fair: An opportunity for students and supporters to engage with campus resources and learn about various programs, departments, clubs and organizations. Look for the Parent and Family Programs booth to meet our staff and learn about our services.
Supporter Coffeehouse: Meet and mingle with staff and current students to get an insider look at what's it's like being a parent/supporter of a student at Cal Poly.
Morning Cup with the President: Join Cal Poly President Jeffrey D. Armstrong for coffee and a light breakfast to learn about Cal Poly and get your questions answered. After the event, enjoy front-row seats to the Poly Royal Parade!
Campus Showcase: A time for various clubs and organizations to showcase themselves to prospective students & their supporters! This is a great opportunity for guests to interact with on/off-campus entities and see how they can get involved!
