Hosted by Parent and Family Programs, Mustang Family Insights is a resource webinar series for Cal Poly parents and supporters featuring campus and community experts.

August 18: City of San Luis Obispo

Join Parent and Family Programs for Mustang Family Insights featuring the City of San Luis Obispo (SLO). This segment will feature important safety information for parents and supporters of students currently residing or returning to SLO, updates about our local businesses and resources, and community support. Featured panelists include Molly Cano, Tourism Manager for the City of SLO and Christine Wallace, Neighborhood Outreach Manager for the City of SLO.

August 19 and 26: Families and Supporters of First-Generation Students

Join Parent and Family Programs for Mustang Family Insights: First-Generation Students. This special two-part session is presented in collaboration with the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) and will feature important information and resources for parents and supporters of first-generation Cal Poly students. First-generation students are identified as those who are the first in their family to receive a college degree.

August 28: Students with Dependents

Join Parent and Family Programs as we discuss the Students with Dependents Initiative for student parents. This initiative aim to embrace and welcome the entire family of new Mustangs! This webinar will discuss the unique set of challenges that students with dependents face while navigating their college experience. We will discuss priority registration, parking permits, emergency grants, and other support, resources, community building events specifically for you!
